“Wow, wow, wow! These are amazing Steve!”
That was the reaction to the first look at the set of online learning content videos I created for Cordie.
Cordie are an award-winning procurement training and commercial apprenticeship provider. They are based in Christchurch in Dorset on the south coast of England. I created a fantastic new website for Cordie not so long ago.
As you may know I have recently re-located back to Scotland so what a pleasure it was when the team at Cordie wished to come to Scotland to shoot the videos. The Apex Hotel on the Dundee quayside was chosen as the location. An easy half hour drive for me from my home in Alyth, Perthshire.
One of the great things about where I live now is that I am so handy for every major Scottish city be that Edinburgh, Glasgow, Perth, Aberdeen or Dundee.
The Cordie team’s ambition was to record around 25 short films over 3 days. That works out a 8 films per day so plenty of work to do. I recommended and went with 4 different set up styles to keep things interesting and varied for the viewer and learner. The shoot was a great success. The sun even shone in Dundee!
For post production I created graphics in Illustrator in the Cordie brand colours and animated them in After Effects. This looks way better than a standard powerpoint style slide.
A brand new Cordie YouTube channel is up and running.
Huge thanks from me to Cordie for commissioning me to do the work. The project was a great success and the new videos will be of huge benefit to the Cordie learners working towards their CIPS exams.
