The brief from the client was to deliver images suitable for Amazon. A look at the Amazon product image requirements revealed that the main product image is required to be on a pure white background so that the image blends with the Amazon web page. There were size requirements too. The key Amazon requirements were:

“MAIN images should have a pure white background (pure white blends in with the Amazon search and product detail pages – RGB colour values of 255, 255, 255).“

“Images should be 1,600 pixels or larger on the longest side. This minimum size requirement enables the zoom function on the website. Zoom has been proven to enhance sales.“

I set up the product table and lights in the studio and got to work. The table has a pure white infinity curve but even with that there is always Photoshop work to get the background to pure white.
